Qualifying Systems - Central Heating Grants
There are three main types of system that qualify for a grant.
If you have a faulty boiler that is rated C or below, which means it will typically be more than 5 years old, then grants are available to replace it with a brand new A-rated boiler. Faulty boilers can also qualify under the scheme. Please see our Boiler Grants page for further information.
You can claim a grant if there is no central heating in the property e.g. you are currently using fires, portable heaters, warm air, etc. Our Central Heating Grants page lists the full criteria.
Electric Storage heaters can also be replaced under the scheme. If your current heaters are more than 10 years old or they are faulty, then they can be replaced with modern units which are at least 30% more efficient. Visit our Electric Storage Heater Grants page for full details.
